      Master Guide Training

      WhenEvery third Friday from 6:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturday from 3:00pm - 7:00pm of the month starting September.  See calendar below. Description The Master Guide Training encompasses a course of study and a function that will help one to lead young people to a greater knowledge and relationship to our Lord Jesus as our Savior. These specialists work in all areas of the church that minister to children and youth. It is expected that those receiving Master Guide training will be able to work in the Sabbath School children’s divisions, Vacation Bible Schools, evangelism with children, story hours, branch Sabbath Schools, and especially in Pathfinder & Adventurer Club leadership, that is, as director, counselor, and instructor. The Master Guide Training Program is the organizational function of training, skill enhancement and ongoing function for the Master Guide. The Program is administered under the leadership umbrella of the local Conference Youth Ministries Department. Attendance Must be at least 16 years of age to start the Master Guide Leadership course and at least 18 years upon completion. Be a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Fees/Payment Fee is $35 per person and is non-refundable. Fee includes: basic binder, dividers, handouts, pen, Master Guide record card, classes, and t-shirt. You have the option of paying by cash, check or invoicing the church. Simply select the ‘Ticket’ button. Then on the registration page select the payment method with the down arrow in the payment section. The church will be invoiced after the event if payment is not received by the event date. Have a written recommendation from your local church board, stating that the candidate is in regular standing. ProgramWorkshops are offered to train leaders and help those earn Master Guide. Spanish workshops are available. The calendar shows the workshops being offered for this year. Workshops offered may change without notice. Uniform Wear Class C Uniform - county or Master Guide shirt with jeans for meetings - unless otherwise specified.
