      Maine Beer Night

The Maine Brewers’ Guild will host the inaugural Maine Beer Night on July 25, 2020, giving beer fans the opportunity to join brewers from Maine and around the world for a night of beer tasting, entertainment, education, and celebration – all from the comfort of home.

After canceling Summer Session, the largest craft beer festival in Maine, the Maine Brewers’ Guild has been busy working with brewers to put together the first ever 'Maine Beer Night' that will feature videos from brewers and members of the worldwide Maine beer community.

“This isn’t a zoom call,” Maine Brewers’ Guild executive director Sean Sullivan. “We’re not talking about 1,000 small faces talking over each other on a screen. What we’re creating Is something totally new. This is a night where beer fans can enjoy some hand selected Maine beers and get an insider’s peek into the people, places, and processes behind our beer scene here in Maine.”

Using Facebook as the platform the Guild is inviting Maine beer fans to join them by making a five dollar ‘entry donation’ for the evening. Attendees will receive access to a selection of videos created by Maine brewers and members of the beer community from around the state including a roundtable and tasting with Tributary Brewing, a peek at the world of barrel aged beer with River Drive Cooperage, a visit from Der Bier Genie at Tattooed Dad Brewing and much more!

But it’s not just a digital experience that’s planned for this night of beer love. The Guild is partnering with CarHopME, a new alcohol delivery service, to offer mixed 6-packs and 12-packs of Maine-brewed beer. These mixed packs can be picked up at locations around the state, with doorstep delivery available in some areas.

“When we thought about what makes beer festivals fun, it’s trying new beers, learning about beer, and having fun amidst a group of others who enjoy the same,” said Sullivan. “We’re hoping beer fans around the state will join us to keep that spirit alive and support our industry through Maine Beer Night.”

Tickets can be purchased at mainebeernight.com starting at $5 for Maine Beer Night access and $35 for a 6-pack sampler with additional options for limited edition t-shirts and taster glasses. All proceeds of the event will support the Maine Brewers’ Guild, the nonprofit trade organization for the Maine craft beer industry.
