      Embroidered Stories: Hmong Fiber Arts

      paj ntaub artworks by Hmong master artist, Pang Xiong Sirirathasuk Sikoun. Many of Pang Xiong’s paj ntaub works are “story cloths” with visual narratives of legends, Hmong family clans, nature, wars, & painful journeys from farming villages to refugee camps. The “Embroidered Stories: Hmong Fiber Arts” exhibit is part of the Down Jersey Folklife Center’s “Near and Far: Arts and Cultures of East Asia” project, in partnership with Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission & Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs. Major support for this project has been provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Additional support by the National Endowment for the Arts.

      Cost: $12 Adults, $11 Seniors, $7 Students, and Children 5 & under are free.
