Annual Bromeliad Plant Show and Sale Announced
The popular gardening event will take place December 14th and 15th at the Araba Shrine Temple in Fort Myers. Admission is FREE and includes a judged show of spectacular displays of bromeliads and the area’s largest bromeliad plant sale. Local growers will be there to sell their plants, answer questions and offer growing tips and landscape ideas. Bromeliads of all colors, shapes and sizes will be available, as well as driftwood and gardening supplies.
The event is presented by the Caloosahatchee Bromeliad Society and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 15th. It takes place at the Araba Shrine Temple, 2010 Hanson Street, just across Cleveland Avenue / U.S. 41 from Lee Memorial Hospital.
The Caloosahatchee Bromeliad Society meets at 1:15 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month except April and December at the Lee County Garden Center Building, 2166 Virginia Avenue, in Fort Myers. Meetings feature gardening programs, workshops, plant give-a-ways and raffles. Admission is free and all interested persons are welcome to attend.
