      LECTURE + PERFORMANCE "Patriotism through Songs and Battles: Harpsichord in 18th Century America" with Guest Speaker and Musician, Kyle Collins

      Setauket  Neighborhood House at 95 Main Street Monday, September 23rd Patriotism through Songs and Battles: Harpsichord in 18th Century America Harpsichordist Kyle Collins will explore the musical life of America in the 18th century. He will focus musical connections with James Rivington, the Culper Spy Ring, and the American Revolutionary War. In addition to the lecture, he will also perform works by composers such as Alexander Reinagle, William Edmund, and James Hewitt. This lecture-recital will feature music from sources such as the Library of Congress, personal manuscript collections of amateur musicians, and libraries of historical societies in New England. Open to all. General Admission: $5, Free for TVHS Members.
